I'd say that a very low monthly cost ($1-$3) per month per site would attract a lot of users to a "premium" version. Most people won't think twice about dropping 1-3 dollars a month for an easy to use CMS - anything more and you see people start gaurding their pockets. If you stay with a low cost model like this and continue to create great software, success will be inevitable - in my opinion :)
