Keep in mind that systems like Basecamp allow custom(ish) url and branding for free accounts... Even being a freelance web designer I'd rather send clients to myurl.awesomecms.com instead of just cushycms.com
Having only one site and limiting the number of pages for free accounts is brutal. You guys are being way too harsh.
Letting designers choose what WYSIWYG to show to the editors is a great idea. Some "editors" really shouldn't have the power that most advanced WYSIWYGs give them.
Or this can be done like Basecamp does it - allows you to come up with your own subdomain and appends a domain at the end, such as "clientarea.com" or "grouphub.com."
